Our reason for this is simple. AWP wants to be certain that the business you choose to record your wedding day is run and staffed by people with a professional committed level of expertise
in video and photography.

This means that you can choose who you wish knowing that they are not amateurs who are solely ‘weekend image makers’ using a non-professional camera which will not produce the quality of images made by an industry professional.

As the images recorded on your day are very precious and cannot be re-taken you
need to realise the difference between amateur and professional quality.

An amateur will offer you an attractive low price but the hidden trade-offs are that
they usually have a lower resolution imaging device, be it video or still images.

With video they will probably only use one camera to cover your wedding day and
being inexperienced in the coverage will miss many of the important moments of the day that a professional videographer will capture, Afterwards they will either give you the raw tapes for you to have edited or will use an automated editing program that came with their computer’s software bundle.

With stills they will usually only have one camera and a small flashgun and again will miss many of the important and unscripted moments of the day. They will not know how to carefully pose you for the formal photography and having a lesser quality camera will not be able to capture images by using just the natural lighting conditions, therefore creating images with dreaded red-eye. Your wedding photos, if you are not just given a disc, will possibly be of 10x15 cm size, the result of having them done at
a non-professional lab. The photos may also fade over time from cheap chemistry.
